Meet Edward L. Smith
I’m Edward L. Smith, a veteran, softball coach, husband, father, and co-founder of StandardLabz.
For years, I let life run me instead of focusing on the things that truly mattered. Between work, family, coaching, and everyday responsibilities, my health slowly moved further and further down the priority list. Then in January 2026, I stepped on the scale and saw 270 pounds.
That was my wake-up call.
I knew something had to change. I committed to taking control of my health, losing weight, building strength, and becoming a better version of myself. Through that journey, I learned something simple but powerful: what you put into your body matters. Exercise is important, but nutrition is the foundation. The results you see are often determined by the choices you make every day.
As I started making progress, friends began asking questions about my routine, my nutrition, and the supplements I was using. The more conversations I had, the more I realized there was a need for high-quality supplements that didn’t come with an outrageous price tag.
That’s what led to the creation of StandardLabz.
